The NUTRIFEEDS consortium came together at Freie Universität Berlin for the project’s Kick-Off Meeting, marking the start of the collaborative work that will drive the project over the coming years.

Over two days, partners aligned the first scientific and technical activities across the different Work Packages, covering topics such as the selection and characterisation of alternative feed resources, targeted fermentation, climate-adapted feeding systems, livestock monitoring, animal health and welfare, and sustainability assessment. 

The meeting provided an important opportunity to coordinate methodologies, define responsibilities and establish the first actions and protocols needed to connect the different areas of NUTRIFEEDS research. It also laid the foundations for collaboration across the consortium and the implementation of the project’s communication and dissemination activities.
